I am a senior researcher fellow and InFLAMES Group leader at the Department of Life Technologies and FICAN West Cancer Centre. My group bridges novel biomarker concepts, extracellular vesicle analytics, and advanced immunoassay technologies to enable more sensitive and specific diagnostics.
The primary focus of our group is to design and validate novel biomarker concepts for early cancer detection and precision disease management. We have established a biomarker development pipeline based on glycovariants of various tumor markers and extracellular vesicles.
Our research is in the interface of basic and translational research, combining biomarker discovery, antibody and assay development, and clinical validation to address the clinical need for the detection of the most common solid cancers.
