Abstract
This chapter demonstrates how a Low-Code/No-Code (LC/NC) approach with Generative Artificial Intelligence can be applied to adult education. Generative AI has rapidly changed the educational landscape by offering educators and students various tools and applications and adding new potential for creativity and personalisation. Most educators perceive AI as an opportunity; however, they face challenges of their own, mainly due to the increasing complexity of the applications and their limited knowledge and skills in AI-related topics. At the same time, there is a rising trend internationally regarding ‘Citizen Developers’, that is, power users who can create their software solutions with minimal or no programming skills, using user-friendly LC/NC frameworks and platforms in Artificial Intelligence as a Service (AIaaS) offering. The described AiHub platform prototype uses open-source frameworks and tools to simplify the Generative AI development process, allowing users without programming skills to design and develop their solutions and build applications with increasing complexity, from novice to expert. Finally, a case study on adult education is presented to demonstrate the power of development that can be given to educators to act as Citizen Developers and contribute to the AI revolution of our time.
