Extended reality (XR) covers many techniques, such as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), for creating mixtures of physical and synthetic realities. In this chapter, we present the work done in realizing interactive storytelling in XR. In addition to a literature review, we discuss how user experience (UX) and game design can be transformed to these new application areas.
