Summary: This project investigates how memories of mass protests are preserved, reactivated, or silenced under authoritarian rule,
focusing on Turkey’s 2013 Gezi Park and 2025 Saraçhane protests. Developing the concept of activist memory-scapes, it
examines how emotional, visual, verbal, and spatial dimensions of memory sustain resistance, solidarity, and democratic
imagination. Combining interviews, archival analysis, and memory mapping, it produces both academic publications and a
documentary.
