Research flagshipINVEST

SummaryThe goal of this project is to understand how complex and interdependent life paths unfold in time and how these trajectories are shaped by policy interventions and reforms. To this end we will develop an integrated probabilistic framework for modelling, predicting, and visualizing how policy interventions affect complex social processes. This will open up new possibilities for investigation of policy impact at unprecedented levels of accuracy, reliability and complexity. Using Finnish and Swedish register data we will use our modelling framework to better understand the impact of parental leave and childcare policies on couples’ work-family life course.
