Summary: Tutkimuksessa haetaan ratkaisuja yhteiskunnallisen kriisinkestävyyden (resilienssin) vahvistamiseen sidosryhmäyhteistyöllä Suomessa, Euroopassa ja globaalisti. Hanke tuottaa uutta tietoa siitä, miten globaalit kriisit ja geopoliittiset jännitteet vaikuttavat kriittisiin toimialoihin, ja miten huoltovarmuutta voidaan tukea sääntelyllä ja uuden tiedon yhteiskehittämisellä yritysten välisessä yhteistyössä Suomessa ja kansainvälisesti.
The project seeks solutions for societal resilience in Finland, Europe and globally. Pandemics, geopolitical tensions and environmental problems hamper the security of supply of critical sectors, such as food and pharmaceuticals, in the Global North and South. This research analyzes the interaction between regulatory environments and international stakeholder cooperation and their potential to strengthen societal resilience. In particular, we examine 1) EU trade policies that promote sustainable development, 2) knowledge co-creation in stakeholder collaboration, and 3) the impact of regulation supporting resilience in critical sectors. The creation of new knowledge is assumed to support the development of timely policies in international cooperation. Findings will entail new scientific evidence on the resilience of critical sectors and how the security of supply can be supported in Finland and internationally. Disseminated widely, the results will support political and corporate decision-making.
