Neurodegenerative diseases, mainly Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases.
Obada is a pharmacist by education, he obtained his bachelor's degree from Philadelphia University. Later on he decided to continue his higher education and pursue an academic career, so he moved to Finland in 2015 and obtained his M.Sc degree in Drug Discovery and Development.
Obada's master thesis aimed at characterizing novel PET tracer for imaging p-tau in Alzheimer's disease model. He obtained his master's degree in 2017 and thereafter has been a doctoral candidate at the preclinical imaging laboratory in Turku PET Center. Obada's research work is centered around biological evaluation of novel PET tracers.
The topic of my research is biological evaluation of novel PET tracers for imaging altered protein aggregates and neuroinflammatory markers in the central nervous system at in-vitro and preclinical settings
