Health Pedagogy
I work as a Professor of Nursing Science, speciality in Health Pedagogy at the Department of Nursing Science and the Wellbeing Services County of Southwest Finland.
My research focus on health pedagogy from different perspectives. My research areas are nursing and health care education as well as social and health care students' and rescue students' mentoring in clinical practice. Furthermore my research area is empowering patient education, especially theoretical basis, diagnostic, activities and evaluation of empowering patient education, management and leadership as well as competence of empowering patient education.
My teaching areas are health pedagogy studies and empowering patient education course. Furthermore I supervise master and doctoral theses.
