Venla Mathlein (LL.M.) is a doctoral researcher. Her areas of expertise include animal protection, consumer protection and marketing, and large carnivore regulation.

Venla Mathlein coordinates the course Consumer Law in Practice (in Finnish: Kuluttajaoikeus käytännössä). She has also been a guest lecturer in courses covering consumer protection as well as environmental and climate law. Mathlein also has teaching experience in the field of animal law.
