I am a doctoral researcher in the Doctoral Programme in Nursing Science (DPNurs), and started my doctoral studies in Autumn 2024. I have graduated as Master's of Health Sciences (MNSc) in Spring 2018 from the Department of Nursing Science, the University of Turku. Since 2020 I have been working at the Turku University of Applied Sciences as Senior Lecturer in nursing education. Previously, I have been working at the Department of Nursing Science as project researcher (focusing on digital competence of health science and social service educators), project specialist (emphasis on international affairs) and clinical teacher between 2018-2019. 

Previously I have studied the degree of Bachelor of Emergency Nursing and have been working as a registered nurse in emergency care unit since 2009. Acute and emergency care and nursing in exceptional circumstances are my expertise areas also in nursing education.

In my doctoral thesis my topic concerns the identification of nursing students at risk of dropping out their studies. The topic of my Master's thesis (2018) was "The cultural competence of nurse educators teaching in Finnish universities of applied sciences". In addition, I have been working in a research project concerning the digital competence of health science and social service teachers. At the moment I am working in project "A structural model for the health sector to shorten educational paths and facilitate transitions between higher education institutions changes" which concentrates in the education of Bachelor and Master students concerning research, development and evidence based practice.
