I’ve started my doctoral studies at autumn 2023, while also working as a curator of archive collection and library of The Museum Centre of Turku. Before I’ve worked in the field of archives, both in archive organization projects and document management.

I graduated with the masters degree from department of Finnish history in the university of Turku, with archival studies. As a minor I studied museology and ethnology.

I’m interested in documentary heritage, especially documents in museum collections and separate archive collections in museums. Archives are the most common context of documents, in museums the point of view might slightly differ, for example aspects of materiality may stand out.

The title of my article dissertation is Archive collections as keepers and dealers of documentary heritage in the changing contexts of Finnish museums. My interdisciplinary dissertation combines fields of history, museology, archival science and methods of cultural studies. I examine the history of archive collections and the use and processing methods of documentary heritage in museums, I am interested in accessibility aspects. In addition, I compare the practices of museums with the procedures of archives.

The Finnish Cultural Foundation and The Emil Aaltonen Foundation have supported my ongoing partial study leave with grants.
