Biography

I am a doctoral candidate in the Department of Biology. I completed
my master’s degree in 2012 in Isfahan University of Technology in Iran.

Research

Currently, I am studying how the features of 3D-landscapes affect community assembly of birds. I use GIS and statistical analyses to extract patterns of species-habitat relationship at different spatial scales.

Previously, I have worked on habitat suitability and conservation planning of Asian houbara bustard, an endangered bird species.

Teaching

Teaching and organizing a workshop:
"An Introduction to Spatial Data Handling and Mapping in R", University
of Turku.
