We report J-band imaging of the faint and fading transient AT2021aeba discovered by the Pan-STARRS Search for Kilonovae. The transient is detected at high significance but the proximity to the host galaxy and lack of template for subtraction compromises the photometric measurement. We estimate J = 20 (Vega mag) with systematic uncertainty of +/- 0.5 mag due to the uncertainty in the background subtraction. This indicates the object may have an unusual near-infrared excess.
