ChangeMakers – Cross-border learning for students in the Baltic Sea region supported with an open access e-learning platform

The Central Baltic project ChangeMakers has been developed in cooperation with Satakunta University of Applied Sciences and University of Turku. The project aims to enhance 15- to 17-year-old high school and vocational school students’ understanding and learning on the topics of circular economy and cross-border cooperation. Additionally, during the two-year study course students get acquainted with innovation research and entrepreneurship education. The project offers students an opportunity to learn relevant entrepreneurial skills by a start-up simulation. The start-ups address environmental challenges developed together with local businesses in Finland (incl. Åland), Sweden, Latvia and Estonia. International, cross-border learning is supported by an open learning platform (ePlatform). It supports learning throughout the course with teaching materials, videos and assignments. The sustainability of the project is based on the accessibility of the materials, which are available for open use.
