The fauna of the subfamily Poemeniinae Narayanan and Lal, 1953, in the Middle East includes nine known species in five genera, which have been recorded from three of the Middle Eastern countries so far: Iran (eight species), Turkey (three species), and Israel-Palestine (one species).
