The fauna of the subfamily Pimplinae Wesmael, 1845, in the Middle East comprises 128 known species in 34 genera. Pimpla Fabricius, 1804, with 19 recorded species, is the most species-rich genus. Also, Iranian Pimplinae, which are the richest among the Middle Eastern countries, comprises 99 known species within 31 genera, followed by Turkey (95 species), Egypt, Israel-Palestine (each with 12 species), Cyprus (5 species), Lebanon (2 species), and Jordan (1 species).
