The fauna of the subfamily Mesochorinae Foerster, 1869 in the Middle East includes 48 species in three genera, of which Mesochorus Gravenhorst, 1829, with 32 recorded species is the most species-rich genus. Among the Middle Eastern countries, the fauna of Turkey with 35 recorded species is more diverse than the others, followed by Iran (22 species), Egypt, and Israel-Palestine (each with three species).
