We present a NOT/ALFOSC optical spectrum of the rising optical transient AT 2025afvr. The spectrum is blue and featureless. There are no evident host galaxy lines and no spectroscopic redshift for the host. The host galaxy is faint and there is not a clear resolved nucleus, but the transient appears central. Based on the spectrum, the location of the transient, and its persistent blue optical colours (g-r ~ -0.4), it is possible that AT 2025afvr is a featureless tidal disruption event, however another type of transient cannot be ruled-out yet. Further follow-up to determine the nature of the transient is encouraged. Until then, we classify the transient as "Other".
