Esitetään rapakärpästen (Sphaeroceridae) rakenne ja käytetty nimistö. Esitetään kuvitetut määrityskaavat rapakärpästen alaheimoihin sekä alaheimon Sphaerocerinae sukuihin ja lajeihin. Määrityskaavat ovat sekä suomeksi että englanniksi. Lisäksi kerrotaan lyhyesti alaheimon Sphaerocerinae lajien levinneisyyksistä ja elinympäristöistä.

The structure and the used terminology of the lesser dung flies (Sphaeroceridae) are presented. Illustrated identification keys to the subfamilies of lesser dung flies, as well as to genera and species within the subfamily Sphaerocerinae, are provided. The identification keys are available in both Finnish and English. Additionally, a brief overview of the distribution and habitats of species within the subfamily Sphaerocerinae is given.
