In this blog post, I will briefly examine the interfaces between intelligence and foresight, as well as the research challenges in these fields. First, it is good to consider the interface between intelligence and foresight. Often, the definition of interfaces is linked to methodological and theoretical questions and the reciprocity of these two research areas. Each research area can be useful for the other research area. Foresight research can utilize intelligence research, and intelligence research can utilize foresight research. In this way, the synergy between these two research areas can be positive in the best case. In poorly functioning scientific cooperation, the synergy can be non-existent or even negative. Therefore, it would be useful to consider the synergy between these two research areas and to promote positive synergy between these research areas.
