We are well aware that science and self-criticism are deeply interconnected, as the scientific process relies on critical thinking, openness to new ideas, and the continual testing of hypotheses and assumptions. We can also recognise that self-criticism in science entails actively reflecting on one’s methods, results, and interpretations to ensure accuracy, objectivity, and rigour.
