The practice of foresight consists of a dynamic, inclusive, co-creative and interactive process from building futures consciousness into having futures resilience. This means that participants in a foresight process will open their futures thinking, learn to use foresight tools and apply them co-creatively into relevant problems, even global challenges. Foresight at its best means anticipation put into action – in other words, operationalized. Knowledge is a moving target and so is futures. In futures studies and foresight, the main focus is on the change process. Nature is the best teacher and source for inspiration. Foresight means a change of mindset. If an organization is willing to start foresight processes, and if there are powerful and illustrative foresight methods used, such a mind shift may take place. Foresight can also have an impact on people who did not contribute to a foresight exercise.
