Abstract

In the context of Global Virtual Teams (GVTs), this study examines the critical role of AI-driven tools in enhancing organizational learning and knowledge management. GVTs, characterized by their reliance on digital communication and geographical dispersion, face unique challenges in maintaining effective collaboration and knowledge sharing. This paper highlights how AI technologies—specifically natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML)—facilitate continuous learning by automating data analysis, enabling real-time feedback, and enhancing decision-making processes. AI's ability to analyze vast amounts of communication data provides insights into team dynamics, allowing organizations to tailor interventions for improved performance. Furthermore, AI-driven sentiment analysis helps in understanding team members' emotional states, fostering a more supportive and responsive virtual environment. The integration of AI tools in GVTs not only improves knowledge retention and transfer but also supports the development of innovative solutions to complex global challenges. This research underscores the transformative potential of AI in redefining how learning and collaboration occur within virtual teams, offering a blueprint for leveraging technology to enhance organizational agility and effectiveness.
