Abstract

Precarious migrant workers experience poor mental well-being and severely lack access to mental healthcare in Finland. Precarity linked to minority stress, migration status, housing and work situations worsen migrants’ mental well-being. There is an urgent need for community-based mental healthcare, trauma-informed mental healthcare and rehabilitative psychotherapy that cater to diverse needs, circumstances and backgrounds of migrants.
