Tempel und Tamilen in zweiter Heimat (“Temples and Tamils in their second home country”) is an ambitious attempt to bring the Tamil diaspora to the academic agenda alongside Islam and other religions of recent immigrant origin. The book consists of 15 articles, of which eleven are written in German and four in English. There are also summaries of all articles in English and a deeply touching translation Kallaru Satheesh novel “Who is the enemy?” that discusses the position of women in diaspora. Furthermore, the book includes 24 colour prints of mainly temple activities and processions. Altogether ten researchers from Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden have contributed to the volume.
