The purpose of this conceptual paper is to propose an alternative approach to understanding human conduct in organizations, that of meaning fulfilment. Building on Viktor Frankl’s (1905–1997) logotheory, meaning fulfilment draws attention to what an individual ought to do in a given situation and thus, incorporates the spheres of ethics and an individual’s value-ethical understanding to the theorizing of meaningful living and working.
