The original ICT Skill Test application is a test instrument for evaluating digital skills. The implemented test application is a web application, written in PHP and JavaScript programming languages together with TinyMVC- and Bootstrap-frameworks. The software runs on a system with apache, php 5.6 and postgreql 9.2 or newer database. Apache needs php and rewrite modules. The test includes a survey phase, which collects background information, and 17 test items categorised into the following categories: basic digital skills (word processing, spreadsheet, social networking, information seeking, presentation, basic use of computers, image processing, and web content creation), advanced technical skills (operating system installation and initialisation, maintenance and updating, software installation and initialisation, information security, and information networks) and professional ICT skills (server environments, database operations, digital technology, and programming). The test content is in Finnish only.
