The chapter deals with the development of the Finnish-Russian food
trade. A special emphasis is given to the Russian sanctions restricting
food imports to Russia and the impact of these sanctions on the
adaptation strategies of the Finnish firms. The authors describe the
adaptation strategies of three Finnish firms. The chapter utilizes a
relevant theoretical discussion on the organizational responses to the
major changes in their business environment. A multiple case study
method is used.
