In Part 3, the focus is on Czech literary historiography. However, since at various times in history the Czechs had close contacts with the Slovaks, culminating in the sharing of one (Czechoslovak) state for most of the twentieth century, we also discuss—very briefly—some moments in Slovak literary historiography, especially when, in various ways and contexts, it has developed in close contact with that of the Czechs.
