ABSTRACT This study sheds light on the reality of the conflict in Yemen, with
its local and regional dimensions, and its impacts on both Yemeni civil peace and
regional peace. It also uncovers the real objectives, either direct or indirect, of the
regional actors involved in this conflict. Additionally, it shows the means utilized
by regional powers to exert its influence and expand its hegemony in Yemen. One
of these means is provoking the domestic rivalry by supporting local actors of the
conflict. Furthermore, the paper highlights how violence became the only mean by
which regional actors achieve their ideological, economic, and strategic goals. As
well as disclosing the negative role of the Yemeni elite in helping out foreign powers
controlling Yemen's vital economic resources.
