This article reviews five in year 2006 promising Mobile Government applications in Finland in year 2014. The analysis shows that in eight years, not much improvement has happened – rather the applications have stagnated to the year 2006 level. In general, however, access to Internet via mobile devices is nowadays totally different than in year 2006, because of smart phones. This might have had on impact on the development of specific mobile applications in the field of e-Government. To conclude, 8 years might be too short time for things to mature, rather some 80 years might be needed to gain maturity in any human activity.
