Abstract
Parameters for two-photon microscopy using continuous wave light excitation are evaluated. Continuous wave two-photon excitation is compared with pulsed pico- and sub-picosecond two-photon excitation with fluorescent test samples and biological material. Furthermore, we show the first two-photon excitation fluorescent images using a semiconductor laser as a light source.
