The purpose of this study is to evaluate the role of the Internet in the learning culture of university students in Finland. In this study learning culture is defined by two main items the use of the Internet and the attitude towards the Internet. The data of the study was collected via online survey. The result of the study indicate that Internet plays a strong role in the students' learning culture, but the main use of the Internet among students is searching for information and communicating. Therewith the possibilities of the Internet are not effectively used. Reasons for that could be found in the strong self-learning culture via "trial and error". Because of that the Internet is considered as a high risk environment among students, where learning can be seen risk full.
