The purpose of this study is to examine the collaboration of companies with young generation from corporate social responsibility (CSR) point of view. While CSR has become an important issue, young generation has rarely been discussed in combination with it.
The theoretical framework of the study consists of CSR literature. The methodology of the study is qualitative content analysis. CSR reports were researched in order to find out differences in responsibility actions between four different company types.
The findings indicated company differences in the number of responsibility programs for young people. They also showed that large companies and cooperatives reported collaboration with youth in their CSR program, whereas small and medium size companies rarely reported their collaboration with educational institutions.
Our results stress the role of companies in collaboration with education. Although, we will present some thoughts and ideas for teachers and teacher educators to realize cooperation with economic life from corporate responsibility point of view.
