This chapter focuses on multilingual students' lexical richness in L3 French at teh university level. The impact of earlier acquired languages is discussed in the Finnish context and in relation to language users' multilingual lexicon. The study in the chapter looked at how Finnsih students constructed their text, in a situation where they had to write an expository essay under pressure of time and with no external resources, such as dictionaries. The chapter examines the relationship between lexical richness and the type/token and word frequency in the students' texts.
