Abstract

Alasdair Roberts is a Scottish songwriter who has been active since the late 1990s. His work spans the traditional and the contemporary and he has released multiple albums on a range of independent labels as well as touring internationally. He is a serial collaborator with musicians from other traditions and countries. In this chapter, he talks about his family background, Scottish folk traditions and his career to date.
