Types of three Dictyna species described by Wladyslaw Kulczynski based on females from the territory of the former Russian Empire - D. sibirica sibirica Kulczynski, 1908, from East Siberia, D. sibirica simulans Kulczynski, 1916 from West Siberia and D. ignobilis Kulczynski, 1895 from Armenia - are re-examined herein. Two names, D. sibirica sibirica Kulczynski, 1908 syn. nov. and D. sibirica simulans Kulczynski, 1916 syn. nov. are synonymised with D. major Menge, 1869. Furthermore, Dictyna ignobilis Kulczynski, 1895 syn. nov. is found to be a junior synonym of D. arundinacea (Linnaeus, 1758). The distribution range of D. major is mapped.
