This special issue of Futures is based on elaborated papers presented in
the Futures for Food conference, organized in Turku, Finland. The conference
was the 15th International Conference of the Finland Futures Research Centre
and the Finland Futures Academy, University of Turku, organized in co-operation
with MTT Agrifood Research Finland. The ten papers selected from the conference
cover the consumer perspectives, long-term food policies, discussions of
genetically modified food, and novel approaches to create food futures.
