These pharmacological alpha PlGF mAb results confirm previous genetic evidence that inhibition of PlGF slows down early atherosclerotic lesion development. Furthermore, the phenocopy of genetic and pharmacological loss-of-function strategies underscores that alpha PlGF acts by selectively neutralizing PlGF.
