Biografia

Majid Aleem is a University Lecturer in International Business at the Turku School of Economics, University of Turku. His research focuses on how organizations and leaders adapt to the challenges of digitalization, remote work, and AI integration. He investigates global virtual teamwork, leadership development, and innovation processes in international contexts, bridging strategic HRM and digital management.
He has developed innovative AI-based teaching and research tools such as GVTanalytics and the AJG Rank Filter, recognized internationally in AMBA & BGA Innovation Awards. He actively collaborates in multi-disciplinary research projects, including ARCANA (Eurostars) and NordForsk initiatives on AI and flexible work.



Tutkimus

Majid's research explores the intersection of International Business, Human Resource Management, and Artificial Intelligence. His current work examines:


  • Relational dynamics and belonging in transnational virtual teams
  • The role of HRM as a relational infrastructure in digital workplaces
  • AI affordances in management, innovation, and decision support systems
  • Open innovation and entrepreneurship in digital ecosystems


He employs both qualitative and computational methods, including topic modeling and machine learning, to uncover patterns in organizational adaptation and leadership in global and hybrid contexts.



Opetus

Majid teaches in the Global Innovation Management and International Business programmes at the Turku School of Economics. His teaching portfolio includes Business Intelligence in International BusinessAI in International Business, International Business Strategy, Project Management and Business Research Methods.
He integrates experiential learning, case-based pedagogy, and AI-driven tools into his teaching and supervision. He supervises PhD and Master’s theses in areas such as AI and HRM, digital transformation, innovation management, and global virtual work. His pedagogical innovations have gained international recognition.
