Biography
Heidi Mikkola is a postdoctoral researcher in Media Studies. Her research focuses on audiovisual culture, human–animal studies, and the environmental humanities.
Research
My PhD dissertation explored the audiovisual aesthetics of wildlife documentaries and their engagement with multispecies agencies. My research centers on the relationships between humans, nonhuman animals, environments, and technologies.
