I am currently working on a postdoctoral research project titled ’on the shadowy side of creativity’. The aim
of the project is to look at more shadowy, i.e. negative or unanticipated, underpinnings of creative work and examine the discourses on creativity prevalent in the contemporary society as disciplinary devices.
This research aims to address the implications of the overarching creativity imperative combined with many contemporary organizational trends or practices, such as the adoption of performance measurement systems, excessive demands, time
pressure and scarcity of resources as well as the ways people deal with the aforementioned issues and tensions involved with them. The project also deals with the emotional side of creative work, especially the role of negative emotions.
