I am a speech-language pathologist, university teacher and a Ph.D. student. I graduated in 2016 and have been working in both the public and private sectors as a speech therapist. In my career, I have focused on speech therapy assessments and interventions for children and adolescents. I've developed specialized expertise in the area of sensory-motor feeding difficulties in children and rehabilitation for individuals on the neurodevelopmental spectrum. In 2022, I started to work as a university teacher in the Department of Speech and Language Pathology at the University of Turku where I have been teaching and mentoring undergraduate students.I began my doctoral studies in the spring of 2023.
My doctoral thesis is part of the research made in InterLearn Centre of Excellence and FinnBrain birth cohort study. In my thesis I'm studying the relation between anxiety and learning and also environmental factors and protective factors.
In 2022, I started to work as a university teacher in the Department of Speech and Language Pathology at the University of Turku where I have been teaching and mentoring undergraduate students. The emphasis of my teaching has been on childrens' developmental disorders. I also have been pursuing studies in university pedagogy, aiming to further my growth as an educator and mentor.
