Environmental ethics; moral philosophy; climate ethics; philosophy of sustainability; space ethics; philosophical methodology
I'm currently working as a postdoc researcher in a project on non-human animals, language, and attitudes, funded by Kone Foundation. In the project, I focus on the relation of ordinary morality and language concerning non-human animals from the perspective of moral demandingness.
My other research interests include space ethics (particularly space settlement ethics and ownership of celestial bodies), environmental ethics, philosophical methodology, and philosophy of sustainability.
I'm also a coordinator for the Turku Environmental Ethics Research Center (TEERC) and the Nordic Environmental Ethics Network (NEEN)
I have taught environmental ethics, philosophical methods, and moral philosophy in the philosophy unit, and sustainable development in Turku School of Economics.
