Nordic network on smart light-conversion textiles beyond electric circuits.

I bring over five years of research experience spanning materials science and manufacturing, encompassing scientific tasks and product development initiatives. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Materials Science/Textile Engineering at the University of Turku in Finland.

My doctoral project focuses on light-responsive textiles capable of converting light into functional property changes, aiming to functionalise common garments while upholding environmental sustainability. By integrating functionalities like self-cleaning, self-healing, and color-changing features into fabrics, I am contributing to the EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles.

This project is a collaborative effort with esteemed institutions such as Aalto University (Finland), VIA University College (Denmark), University of Borås (Sweden), and Iceland University of the Arts.
