Jithin is an interdisciplinary researcher in Biodiversity Conservation working at the Department of Biodiversity Sciences. He has obtained a Master's degree in Wildlife Science from the Wildlife Institute of India (2021). He was previously a Research Fellow at the Nature Conservation Foundation, India (2022-2026); and a POBE Fellow at the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, India (2017-19). His previous research include applied ecological studies and conservation social science works connected to Himalayan montane streams, amphibians, place-based education, and rocky outcrops of the Western Ghats biodiversity hotspot.
