Bioelectricity in plant science

Plant molecular biology; cyanobacteria; protoplasts; photosynthesis; exoelectrogenesis

BSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Northern British Columbia (2018-2022)

MSc in Biotechnology, University of Inlandet (2023-2025). Thesis "Optimization of the protoplast transfection for CRISPR-Cas9 RNP delivery in cultivated tetraploid potatoes".

I've started in the Bioelectricity group led by Laura Wey in December 2025 as a doctoral researcher. During my PhD, I will be focusing on bioelectrochemical mechanism of photosynthetic exoelectrogenesis in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803, specifically how it is affected by circadian rhythms and phosphorylation.
