I am a Doctor of Social Sciences, I have a title of Docent in Social Work, and I am a licensed social worker.

I have been working as a University Teacher in Social Work at the University of Turku since 1 August 2026. My teaching responsibilities for the academic year 2026–2027 are: (to be updated later).

My research focuses particularly on addictions and their treatment, as well as hope and future orientation in challenging life situations. I also supervise doctoral dissertations on these topics. In addition, I am interested in the competencies produced by social work education. Methodologically, my work is situated within the field of mixed methods research.

From 2017 to 2026, I worked at Tampere University in teaching and research positions. My previous publications are available in Tampere University's researchportal.
