I study the binding of blood serum proteins to electrode materials used for in vivo detection of biologically important analytes in the bloodstream via electrochemical measurements. My approach uses computational modeling methods to construct the system and calculate how proteins are most likely to bind to electrodes. Understanding how the body interferes with measurements made within it is important for development of more accurate medical devices.
