I earned my PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Center for Biomaterials, Biomedical Research Institute (BMI), Korea Institute of Science & Technology (KIST), Seoul, South Korea in the year 2018. I won an Overseas Research Fellowship from University of Science and Technology (UST), South Korea, and visited Nankai University, Tianjin, China as an exchange doctoral student for 6 months. I received my postdoctoral fellowship at Kyushu University, Japan as a fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and carried out cooperative research for 2 years. I also won a priority grant from National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and worked as a guest researcher at Donghua University, Shanghai, China. Moreover, I was choosen as a "Special Cooperative Researcher" at Gifu University, Japan and "Graduate Research Associate" at Kyoto University, Japan. I was appointed as a Research Scientist at Innovation Center of NanoMedicine (iCONM), Kawasaki Institute of Industrial Promotion (KIIP), Kawasaki, Japan, where I worked for 2 years. I was awarded a prestigious SYS-LIFE MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship at Institute of Biomedicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Turku (UTU), Turku, Finland. I have contributed more than 115 peer-reviewed scientific articles as well as have won several awards, honours, and prizes nationally and internationally. I have been cited for more than 2,800 times (as of Google Scholar, 05/2025). I have also worked as a faculty member at different positions at home and abroad and have supervised or co-supervised the thesis research of more than 20 students. I have also participated in a number of projects in my career and have organized the international meetings. My research interests include but are not limited to biomaterials design and development, cardiovascular and nerve tissue engineering, nanomedicine, polymer synthesis and characterization. I have been conferred with different types of awards, honours, and prizes, including "Academic Excellence Award" at KIST, Seoul, South Korea, Grand Prize from UST, Daejeon, South Korea, and "Research Productivity Award" from Pakistan Council for Science and Technology" (PCST), Islamabad, Pakistan, SYS-LIFE MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship. Moreover, I regularly contribute as an ad-hoc reviewer for more than 30 prestigious journals in the field of Polymer Science & Technology", Biomaterials, Regenerative Medicine, and Tissue Engineering as well as inducted as a committee to evaluate the PhD Thesis of Student from different universities.
